One Week Process for Investment in Energy Sector

The government pledged to provide convenience for potential investors in the energy and mineral resources sector in the form of investment procedures easing, instead of providing fiscal incentives. Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ministry also promised that investment permit proposals in the extractive sector could be completed within a week.

Such commitment was done through an online licensing app. The ministry integrated the licensing system with various natural resource data, operational plans, production data, and commodity sales. It claimed that the relevant ministers and officials would directly oversee the system, to immediately resolve any complaints or obstacles encountered by investors.
