Government Plans to Release Two New Ineffective Cards

Summary

The Manpower Ministry plans to release two new cards to protect the laid-off workers and improve their skills. They are the laid-off worker's social security card (KJKP) and skill training and certification social security card (KJPS). The Manpower Ministry, Hanif Dhakiri, revealed that the cards would be useful for anticipating the increasingly dynamic and flexible job market.

He also stated that the laid-off workers could use the cards as social securities to increase their skills and certificate the profession. By improving their skills, they could hopefully land a better job in the future. The government is currently looking for more inputs from the labor union and the companies to improve the programs. The minister even proposed the Workers Social Security Agency to include the programs in the agency’s capital outlay.
