Holidays Boost MAPA Performance
PT Map Aktif Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPA) recorded a nine percent same-store sales growth (SSSG) in the first half of 2019. MAPA Corporate Secretary Ratih D Gianda said the SSSG in that period came from the sports segment contribution of 75.2 percent, leisure 13.3 percent, and children segment 11.4 percent.
According to Ratih, the overall rapid increase in sales during the period was due to increased sales in the Lebaran (Eid al-Fitr) period, and the addition of new business space nationally by 17 percent at the end of June 2019. MAPA had already invested in digital, especially in the field of e-commerce through PlanetSports.Asia, MAPeMall, Kidstation.Asia, and other platforms. It includes the addition of business developments in the online, mobile and social media fields.
