Summary

The government and parliament would revise Law No. 17/2008 on Shipping. Once passed, the amended regulation would open opportunities for foreign shipping operators to run their business in the country.

According to information obtained by D-Insights, the amendment would cover article 8 on shipping operators and article 276 on the operation and authority of the coast guard agency. However, the crucial point for business actors is on the former.
