Summary

State-owned electricity company PT PLN started working on a new business segment. Through its subsidiary, PT Indonesia Comnet Plus (ICON+), PLN is developing internet networks and pay television service by utilizing its infrastructure.

ICON+, which since 2008 has expanded its telecommunications network, is offering internet and pay-TV service packages, ranging from five megabits per second (Mbps) of internet and 40 TV channels for Rp 135,000 a month to 20 Mbps and 40 TV channels package for Rp 235,000 per month.
