Fintech Loan Disbursement Increases Drastically

Summary

The peer-to-peer lending business has exceeded its annual target during the first half of 2019 alone. According to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) data, fintech fims’ total loan disbursement has reached Rp 44.8 trillion per June 2019. The number has surpassed last year’s spending at Rp 22.66 trillion or 97.68 percent year-to-date.

It has even surpassed this year’s target set by Indonesian Fintech Lenders Association (AFPI). It expected the fintech-based loan disbursement to reach Rp 40 trillion at most. As a result, AFPI will try to revise this year’s loan disbursement target.
