Wijaya Karya to Build BMW Stadium

PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung Tbk (WEGE) KSO has signed the construction contract to design and build the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) or commonly called BMW Stadium in North Jakarta. PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), as the owner, has appointed WEGE KSO as the managing contractor to build the stadium.

The company will administer around 51 percent of the project, oversee the structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. It will also lay the pitch, complete the supporting infrastructures, and perform other outside tasks. The project will end in 2021 with a 12-month maintenance period. The stadium itself is built on a 221.000 square meters land in North Jakarta.
