BTN to Upgrade to BUKU IV in 2023

PT Bank BTPN Tbk (BTPN) plans to enter BUKU IV in 2023. BTPN President Director Ongki Wanadjati Dana revealed that the company could achieve it organically and without additional capital. At the moment, BTPN’s core capital is around Rp 2 trillion to Rp 23 trillion, only a Rp 7 trillion less of the minimum requirement to enter BUKU IV.

Based on the company’s financial report in June 2019, the recorded core capital of the company was Rp 23.34 trillion or up 76.23 percent year-on-year. The significant increase of core capital was the result of the bank’s merger with SMBC. The alliance also lifted BTPN’s loan disbursement and third-party funds (DPK) growth.
