East Kalimantan Administration to Prevent Land Inflation
The East Kalimantan administration has swiftly decided to make special land regulations after President Joko Widodo officially stated that the two cities in the province are going to be the new Indonesian join capitals. The rules will hopefully prevent the land price wild inflation caused by the land brokers.
One of the expected policies is a gubernatorial regulation (Pergub) on the arrangement of non-commercial jurisdiction. East Kalimantan Governor Isran Noor stated that the law aims at anticipating the speculative land practices coming from interested parties or people. Since the chosen areas will be considered as non-commercial area, the land trade around and inside the areas will be illegal.
