UNTR Slashes Heavy Equipment Sales Target

Heavy equipment distributor PT United Tractors Tbk sold 2,122 units of Komatsu in the first seven months of 2019, down by 26 percent year-on-year. The UNTR-coded listed company’s management also decided to revise the sales target for heavy equipment. "We will certainly reduce our sales target 4,000 units to 3,600 units," UNTR Director Iman Nurwahyu said in a statement. In fact, in early 2019, UNTR eyed to sell 4,200 units of heavy equipment in 2019.

Nevertheless, UNTR believes that the slashed sales target would not significantly affect UNTR's revenue in 2019, as the company also gains revenues from other posts such as aftersales.
