Cigarette Sales Boost Gudang Garam Revenue

In the first half of 2019, PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM) successfully recorded cigarette sales volume of 46.6 billion cigarettes or up 14.8 percent year-on-year. One of the main contributors is the sales of low-priced cigarettes at 38.8 billion cigarettes or up 15 percent year-on-year.

Another contributor is the increase of low-tar, machine-made clove cigarette (SKM) sales volume at 4.2 billion cigarettes or up 31.25 percent year-on-year. As a result, Gudang Garam recorded Rp 52.7 trillion of revenues or up 16.4 percent year-on-year, while the net profit reached Rp 4.3 trillion or up 20.4 percent year-on-year.
