Promising Wire and Cable Industry Attracts More Investors

The wire and cable industry is getting new investors. They are capitalizing on the opportunities coming from the telecommunication, electric infrastructure projects to other projects developed by big industries such as manufacturing as well as oil and gas industries.

The Indonesian Cable Manufacturers Association (Apkabel) revealed that, in this year alone, two companies are building new factories. One of them is PT Maju Bersama Gemilang which has already invest around Rp 1.9 trillion worth of working capital to build fiber optics factory capable of producing 2 million kilometers of the optic fiber core. On the other hand, a South Korean company, LS Cable and System, has decided to build a US$50 million worth of cable factory in Karawang last year.
