Domestic solar panels production will increase following the investors’ commitment realization in factory construction. One of the potential large-scale solar panels suppliers is the coal miner PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk, which promised an investment of Rp 3.5 trillion.

Indo Tambangraya's business diversification is expected to start next year. The ITMG stock-coded listed company is seeking partners to build a solar photovoltaic plant with a total production capacity of up to 150 megawatts. ITMG will make the plant in the eastern part of Indonesia, considering its land availability and other conditions that support solar panel production.
