LPKR Records Rp 1.59 Trillion Losses

PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR) recorded Rp 5.3 trillion of revenue in the first half of 2019, relatively unchanged year-on-year. The revenues from property development projects have decreased from Rp 1.59 trillion to Rp 991 billion or down 37.7 percent year-on-year. However, the recurring income recorded Rp 4.31 trillion increase, or 15.1 percent year-on-year. Ironically, LPKR recorded Rp 1.46 trillion losses even though recorded Rp 406.15 billion profit in the same period last year.

The most significant recurring income came from the company’s healthcare business through PT Siloam Hospital Tbk (SILO). The company recorded a whopping 18.5 percent increase in revenue year-on-year to Rp 3.38 trillion. Unfortunately, the rise in expenses in the healthcare business for opening three hospitals this year and the losses from one-off transaction caused the Rp 1.46 trillion of net losses.
