ZONE to Enter Women’s Clothing Business

PT Mega Perintis Tbk (ZONE) is ready to diversify the business by expanding to the women’s clothing business. ZONE, known as men’s clothing retailer and manufacturer, plans to perform a trial production run from October to December 2019. The company expects its women’s clothing line to enter the market next year.

Unfortunately, ZONE refused to reveal what kind of women’s clothing it will produce and only claimed that the products are for middle-class consumers. One of its sub-holdings, PT Megah Putra Garment, will be the leading manufacturer of the clothing line. The company will collaborate with several department stores to distribute the products and has not decided whether to run independent stores to sell them.
