Beauty Retail Segment Mesmerizes Investors

Summary

Although the fashion business is slowing down, the beauty and health businesses remain unaffected. Since last year, the growth of the beauty and health industry is encouraging and successfully attracts more investors as a result.

Nielsen Indonesia predicts the health and beauty business could grow up to 30 percent this year. The number overshadows the growth of other modern retail businesses such as food, beverage, and fashion businesses which are less than six percent. Indonesian Retailers Association (Aprindo) mentioned that the health and beauty businesses’ growth could reach around 20 percent in the first half of this year, surpassing annual average at ten percent.
