Indika Energy Takes Up Gold Mining Business

PT Indika Energy Tbk is preparing gold production plans at Awak Mas mine, South Sulawesi. The INDY stock-coded miner is still conducting a feasibility study for the project by reviewing the open mining operations in Awak Mas.

INDY expects to complete the feasibility study by the end of the year and start the project construction immediately. Thus, Awak Mas mining operations can begin in 2021, targeting 100,000 ounces of output annually. In the initial stage, Indika Energy will conduct activities in ​​2,000 hectares (ha) out of 14,000 ha of the total mining area.
