McDonald's Enters New Cities
PT Rekso Nasional Food continues to expand. The owner of the McDonald's outlet network in Indonesia is targeting to open 20 new outlets this year, higher than 15 outlets in previous years. McDonald's Indonesia Associate Director of Communications Sutji Lantyka, as reported by Kontan, said this year's expansion targets new cities in addition to strengthening existing markets that continue to grow.
Until last August, McDonald's Indonesia has opened 13 new outlets from the target of 20 outlets this year. Besides Java, the US fast-food restaurant chain is eyeing other cities in Eastern Indonesia. Last month, they opened their first outlet in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. With the addition of 13 new outlets, the total number of McDonald's Indonesia outlets has reached 208 outlets.
