Highway rest area promises many business opportunities for investors after the government issued new rules on the use of rest areas for commercial purposes.

This year, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is reviewing rest areas developments for various functions from the logistics center to the industrial estate, in line with the revised regulation No. 10/PRT/M/2018. The regulation mentioned four concepts for developing rest areas, namely tourist destinations, intermodal transit areas, logistics centers, and industrial estates.
