Trans Retail Aggressive Expansion Amid Sluggish Business

PT Trans Retail Indonesia keeps expanding its business by opening a new store in Semarang, Central Java, in the third quarter of 2019. The subsidiary of PT Trans Corpora would still open new stores in several cities including in Eastern Indonesia, adding to seven new outlets opened this year.

Trans Retail has a total of 130 stores consisting of Transmart, Carrefour, and Groserindo.  The company is seeking new cities for opening outlets, targeting to reach 25 cities across Indonesia by the end of 2025, Trans Retail Vice President of Corporate Communications Satria Hamid Ahmadi said as quoted by KONTAN.
