Food and Beverage Franchises to Open Floating Branches

Summary

Some food and beverage companies are trying to expand their branches by collaborating with domestic airlines. Two of them, Krispy Kreme and Starbucks, are ready to open their “floating” branches and include their products to the in-flight menu through GIA-Mall.

PT Aerofood Indonesia (Aerofood ACS), Garuda’s sub-holding in the catering sector, will handle the in-flight menu provided by PT MAP Boga Adiperkasa, the brand holder of  Krispy Kreme donuts, and the coffeehouse chain, Starbucks. Krispy Kreme menu will exist in in-flight snacks on various domestic routes, such as Jakarta – Solo, Jakarta – Semarang, and Jakarta – Yogyakarta, while the collaboration with Starbucks is still in progress and waiting for the clearance from the brand owner.
