HERO to Open New Stores

PT Hero Supermarket Tbk (HERO), a retail company, will open a store in Casa Domaine apartment, Karet Tengsin, Central Jakarta, the first new store in 2019. Hero Supermarket Director Hadrianus Wahyu Trikusumo revealed the company intended to bring the store closer to the customers physically and digitally through online transactions. At the moment, the store is exploring the latter option through social media.

However, the location of the new store implies the HERO’s intention to target the middle-to-upper-class customers. It will be the first store in quite some time after the company has decided to close seven Giant stores in various places for business transformation.
