WSKT to Conclude the Japek II Elevated Toll Road Project

PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT) assures that Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II elevated toll road is ready this year. The contractor of the 36.4-kilometer toll project revealed that it is all set for the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s Eve’s traffic. The company is finalizing the physical construction, currently at 96.5 percent, this September and planning to do a trial run in October 2019.

The toll road, eating up Rp 4.43 trillion to construct, can hypothetically reduce the Jakarta-Cikampek traffic up to 30 percent and draw around 125,000 automobiles per day. WSKT earned the construction contract in 2017 and practically met the target to finish it in 2019. Waskita Karya is not the only contractor in this project since PT Acset Indonusa Tbk (ACST) is working on the project as well. However, WSKT holds a significant portion of the project, up to 96 percent.
