Government to Accelerate Acquisition of Land for The New Capital
The government starts to register properties in the new joint capitals, North Panajem Paser and Kutai Kertanegara of East Kalimantan. The productive land acquisition will begin at an accelerated pace, especially the lands in possession of corporations.
National Development Planning Minister as well as the head of the National Planning Agency (Bappenas), Bambang Brojonegoro, revealed that the government could reacquire the concession lands managed by corporations at any time. He said that the concessions signify their revokable status, whether for the industrial (HTI), production forests or mining permit (IUP). The Environment and Forestry Ministry will carry out the land reacquisition process until the end of the year.
