PT Kresna Sekuritas and PT Trimegah Securities Tbk (TRIM) have been consistently underwriting initial public offering (IPO) of start-up companies, only competing against PT Sinarmas Sekuritas in the last three years. Kresna Sekuritas President Director Octavianus Budiyanto said start-up companies’ prospect lies on the higher growth compared to listed companies on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX).

As of the first half of 2019, three start-up companies in which PT Kresna Graha Investama Tbk (KREN) underwrote the IPO posted a significant jump in net profit from the same period a year earlier. Start-up owners also need to seek strategies in pitching business prospects to potential investors. It means that the approach with potential investors must be made long before the IPO.
