Grab vs. KPPU: The New Chapter

The Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) will hold a case trial on the violation of business competition regulation involving PT Solusi Transportasi Indonesia or Grab Indonesia. The anti-monopoly commission has been investigating the business discrimination practice conducted by Grab at choosing the driver-partner provider.
The case is entering a new chapter after KPPU rejects the online transportation company’s request, through its lawyer, to delay the trial. Instead, the commission's assembly, consisting of Hary Agustanto, Guntur Saragih, and Hafif Hasbullah, grants Grab a week-long preparation to answer and sets to hold the hearing on October 8, 2019. In this case, KPPU accuses Grab of violating three articles in the Business Competition Law.
