BLTZ to Capitalize on the Film Industry’s Growth
PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk (BLTZ) aims to operate four to five new CGV Cinemas until the end of the year to meet the company’s target to open 15 movie theaters in 2019. By September 2019, the company has operated 62 movie theaters. The positive growth of the domestic film industry has motivated BLTZ to keep expanding its movie theater empire. BLTZ Sales and Marketing Division Head Manael Sudarman revealed that the number of local films kept increasing annually up to two digits.
On Wednesday (10/2), the company started off the construction in a ceremony held on Citra Maja Raya in Maja district, Lebak, Banten, the location of its new movie theater. BLTZ will rent the land owned by the developer of Citra Maja Raya, PT Ciputra Residence. The construction of CGV Cinemas, located in the residential area, will cost around Rp 31 billion to Rp 44 billion. It will be the 63rd movie theater owned by BLTZ all across Indonesia or the 5th in Banten.
