Audit Institution in the Hands of Politicians

Summary

The House of Representatives’ Finance Commission appointed five members of the Supreme Audit Board (BPK) for the 2019-2024 administration. Four of them are politicians, while only one is an auditor.

Among the elected politicians are Harry Azhar Aziz (Golkar), Achsanul Qosasi (Demokrat), Daniel Lumban Tobing (PDI-P), and Pius Lustrilanang (Gerindra). The last one is Hendra Susanto, who previously served as BPK’s Auditoriat I. They were chosen based on the House' 9th Commission votes.
