Railink Extends Airport Train Routes

Summary

Airport train operator PT Railink is working on a new strategy to increase its transportation mode load factor. The subsidiary of PT Kereta Api Indonesia plans to extend the airport train route from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Manggarai Station, South Jakarta.

The airport train has been operating as far as BNI City or Sudirman Baru Stations. Transportation Ministry’s Director General of Railways Spokesman Supandi said the route extension to Manggarai Station is to attract passengers from Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi. The airport trains will be on board from the 9th and 10th Platform, while the gates will be separated from Commuter Line passenger train access.
