Lion Air's plan to hold an initial public offering (IPO) is getting closer. PT Lion Air Mentari Airlines, as the airline operator, plans an IPO in November 2019, seeking up to Rp 14 trillion of proceeds from the corporate action.

Lion Air's IPO plan has been echoed since early March 2019. The airline had also worked with several investment advisors about the stock issuance plan. Lion Air also attended the IPO Master Class held by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), an activity designed to prepare companies to conduct IPOs, especially a well-planned company, to go public immediately.
