Mid-to-Low Tier Banks to Decrease Prime Lending Rates

Summary

Several banks are proactively increasing the lending by decreasing their prime lending rates. Bisnis.com reported on Monday (10/7) that there were at least four mid-to-low tier banks that had implemented the decreases, for example, PT Bank Mestika Tbk,  PT Bank Jasa Jakarta, PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Riau Kepri, and PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Tengah.

Bank Mestika lowered each credit segment by five basis points while Bank Jasa Jakarta by 44 basis points. BPD Riau Kepri decreased the retail lending rate by nine basis points, microcredit interest rate by three basis points, the interest rate of KPR dropped by 22 basis points, and the interest rate of non-KPR by 21 basis points. However, BPD Jawa Tengah reduced the retail lending rate by 78 points and microcredit interest rates by 297 basis points.
