SOEs to Join Forces at Providing Clean Electricity

Summary

Several state-owned enterprises (SOEs) are collaborating in the power plant projects. The state-owned joint venture will generate electricity from clean or renewable energies.

PT Pertamina dan PT PLN will form a joint venture to develop geothermal and liquefied natural (LNG) power plant projects. PT Pertamina Power Indonesia (PPI) and PT Indonesia Power will handle the joint-venture. On the other hand, Pertamina and PLN will team up with PT Len Industri to develop several solar power plants (PLTS). The plants will be useful for providing electricity in the area untouched by PLN’s grid.
