Telkom’s Ambition in e-Commerce

Summary

PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) still considers buying a majority stake in Bhineka.com, one of the oldest e-commerce in Indonesia. The issue of the acquisition plan has been rolling since the middle of this year. Telkom management said the company is still doing an internal study about the acquisition plan. Currently, Telkom operates its own e-commerce company, Blanja.com, which is a joint venture with eBay, the US e-commerce giant.
