Beujek was introduced earlier this week. It is an online motorcycle taxi under cooperative company BeU Abadi Nusantara founded by Eka Maulana and partners. 

Maulana said one of the advantages of Beujek is that its drivers will get life insurance worth Rp 28 million. Furthermore, they will be given five kilograms (kg) of rice, one liter of oil, one kg of sugar, and free oil per month. The drivers also get motorcycle loans without a down payment (DP).

Before Beujek, there is also Anterin. This online ride-hailing app was launched in 2017. The ride-hailing market also attracts foreign investors, such as Bitcar from Malaysia and FastGo from Vietnam.
