Auto Manufacturers Reduce Sales Target
Several automotive brand holder agents lower the sales target of their commercial vehicles, such as trucks and pickups, this year. The revision is the result of declining sales in the middle of this year.
According to the Association of Indonesian Automotive Manufacturers’ (Gaikindo) data, the pickup and truck sales in the first half of 2019 only reached 57,403 units, or down 22 percent year-on-year. Based on that data, PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia changed the sales target from 40,000 units to 37,000 units by the end of the year. PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors also revealed that the company’s sales growth projection at five percent by the end of this year was unrealistic.
